While at work in the shaft of the Iron Blossom mine this week, Arthur McDonald had his right leg badly crushed, by being caught between the cage and the Umbers. McDonald and several minors hod Just set off a round, of holes and gave tho signal to hoist. McDonald was about to leave the cage when It started upward, and ho was caught, narrowly escaping with his life. Tho Injured man was attended by Dr. Laker, and then sent to the hospital at Provo. An operation was found to bo necessary, as the bones of the Injurod member were shattered, but the physicians physi-cians have hopes of saving the limb. Eureka camp, Modern Woodmen of the World, elected the following officers for the coming term: Consul, John W. Matthews; Mat-thews; advisor, John E. WIrthlln; banker, bank-er, David J. Fen-nell Fen-nell were hi Provo this week on matters pertaining to furnishing the Carnegie library li-brary at this place. They will probably procure tho furnishings for the building from tho manufacturers who furnished the Provo library, which will cost about 52000. The rabbit hunters of Goshen have challenged tho Eureka sportsmen for a rabbit hunt, to take place at that town on Sunday, January 3.
