Show WBLL-KNOWrCOAL MEN ARE SUED FOR DAMAGES Richard P. Morris, former mayor, is a defendant with Edward H. 0"'Brien in a suit filed by Frank W. Jennings in the district court Friday to recover $2000 alleged to be due as damages on a breach of contract to sell eoal. Jennings sets out that in July of 1007 be entered Into a contract with the defendants, de-fendants, co-partners in the coal business busi-ness under tho name of Morris & O'Brien, to sell 2000 tons of coal in San Francisco, his commission to bo tho difference between $! a ton and the price at which the coal sold for in San Fraucisco. Jennings contracted with the United Materials company of San Francisco for the delivery of tho coal to them at $11.50 a ton f. o. b. San Francisco, but when he notified tho defendants they refused to deliver tho coal to him, hence his suit. |
