If a girl pays the incidental courtship ex-pcusrs ex-pcusrs of a young man wliq -is seeking her hand, and be afterwards fails to marry her, she may recover through the courts the total which she is out of pocket on the proposition. Such a case has just been decided by Justice Sclph of Los Angeles, who ruled that Mrs. Albert A. Jones, formerly Miss Bessie May. of 'J12 West Eleventh Elev-enth street, was entitled to recover .-rS7.50 from Emil Fcrnholtz, the sum representing a total of expenditures which the young Indy made for the joint entertainment of herself and Kcvn-holtz Kcvn-holtz during the period of the latter 's unfruitful courtship. Mrs. Jones, who since her affair with Fernholtz has married Mr. Jones, testified testi-fied in court that she advanced the money for various things because Fern-holt?: Fern-holt?: did not have it..
