Show POLICE COURT CASESl The comedy stunt at the Friday afternoon after-noon session of tho police court, with Judge C. B. Diebl presiding, was done by Daniel Galvin. arraigned on a charge of battery upon his divorced wife. Mrs. Galvju was. tho Grst to take tho stand and lold how Galviu had -isited the Wilson hotel, where she is employed, last Sunday afternoon and after "trying "try-ing to talk with her, hit her in the month and kicked her. Galvin took too stand and told bt3 side of tho story. He said that he went to the hotel upon a standing invitation invita-tion he had from his former wife and she became angry with him because he told bow he had punched a man named Donnollv for saying discreditable things about 3Irs. Galvin. She Tofused to talk with him, Galviu said, and in turniug to walk away fell over a chair iu tho hallway of the hotel causing tho injuries in-juries which she alleges Galvin inflicted. in-flicted. Galvin said he wasn't much of a fighter, but declared that ho could punch Donnelly with his hands tied. , Several witnesses were placed on the stand to testify to the excellent character of Galviu. Judge Diehl took the case under un-der advisement until Saturday forenoon at 10, when ho will give a. decision.
