Show Lnjoio Is a Manager. CLEVELAND, O-, Oct 29. Larry La-Jole, La-Jole, Cleveland's second baseman and captain, has been selected to manage the team as successor to W. R. Armour, who resigned' recently President Kll-foyle Kll-foyle of the Cleveland club announced last night that terms had been agreed to, and that Lajole would take hold on December 1 and prepare plans for the coming season. As a ballplayer Lajole has not an equal In the country, for he Is considered consid-ered the best second baseman In the business, and as a batter he Is In a class by himself. With the selection of Lajole La-jole as manager It Is the first time since the regime of Patsy Tebeau that Cleveland Cleve-land has hod a playing manager. |
