Show Special to The Tribune PROVO. Oct. 20. A pleasant entertainment entertain-ment was that given by Mrs. D T. Clark and her daughter. Mrs. A. D. Sutton, at tho beautiful home of Mrs. Clark on the corner of Third East and Second North. Tho afternoon of Tuesday was spent ln playing whist. The talley cards werc unhnnn leaves beautifully designed. The decorations used were autumn leaves ami cut llowors. Light refreshments wcn served The invited guesls were Mesdames Reed Smoot. C. E. Tho young women of the Fourth ward entertained at a Halloween party in tho word house on Friday nlghL The house was neatly arranged for tho occasion. A neat 1H-t 1H-t lo programme was also enjoyed. A neat llttlo Halloween social was given by Miss May Billings to u number num-ber of her friends on Friday evening. Tho decorations uecd woro chrysanthemums, which were tastefully arranged. A Halloween lunch was served and was much enjoyed on account of the dainty arrangement of the affair. Billings of Provo goes to Idaho, where he has been engaged to leach school durins tho winter. Mrs. H. B. Crandall of Salt Lake 13 visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Chrlatcnsen of Provo. A Mr. and Mrs. DwiKht Billings left Provo for Vernal, whero they will rcsldo in tho future. A Llewellyn Jones of Spanish Fork was visiting with his brother, County Recorder E. T. Jones, this week. M The Woman's Republican club entertained enter-tained ln its clubrooms last Monday evening. eve-ning. Judi?o Bowman of Salt Iikc addressed ad-dressed those present. Miss Tressa Homer Tendered two olo3. Joseph Dunn gavo a selection on tho guitar and Jcnna Hoover recited. After tho programmo refreshments, refresh-ments, consisting of coifco, sandwichon, fruit and cako, wero served. About 200 guests were prcsont. a Mrs. S. A. IClng entertained at her beautiful homo on tho corner of Second South and First West streets ln honor of tho Woman's Democratic club. The spa- clous rooms wero lecorated throughout with American Hags, which were draped over lho folding doors. Small flags were also tastefullv arranged over pictures and curtains. Tho flag effect was beautiful when taken with an abundance of chrysanthemums chrys-anthemums which wre used. There were about seventy-live guists. Licht refreshments refresh-ments wero served during the evening The following programme was presented; Piano selection by Miss Prarl Taft; recitation reci-tation bv Bulah Storrs; Instrumental music mu-sic by Miss Efflo Howe; "In the Palace of tho King," by Mrs. Joo Yates, piano selection se-lection by Mrs. Dora Irvine; soprano solo by Miss Hazel Taylor; piuno selection by Prof. A. C. Lund; bass solo by W. D. Roberts. George Ram6cy has returned from his concert tour of northern Utah.
