Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Gordon have returned re-turned from an extended visit to Canada. Can-ada. Mr. and Mrs. William Driver havo returned re-turned from a visit to California. Mm. Frank Towno entertained a clrolo of friends Thursday afternoon at her homo on Sheridan avenue. Mrs. J. G. Paine left Tuesday afternoon for Marysvalo. where she will visit her niece, Miss Emma Osborne. Mr3. D. F. Dcnscl entertained the Lucky Thirteen club Thursday afternoon at her home, 2717 Washington avenue, a Judge, Thomas D. Deo and daughters. Miss Deo and Miss Florence, havo returned re-turned from a pleasant visit to the St Louis exposition. Tho Dcgreo of Honor gave an onjoy-ablo onjoy-ablo card party at A. O. U. W. hall on Wednesday evening. Cards, prizes and refreshments wero th'o order of tho evening. eve-ning. Very enjoyable in every respect was tho annual reception given Wednesday evening by the Y. P. S. C. E. of tho Presbyterian church, at which a largo company of guests wero present. The church parlors wero attractively decorated, deco-rated, and an interesting juhI Informal programmo was carried out, among Its features being piano solos by Miss Johnston John-ston and Miss Hamlll, violin solo by Mr. Linsley and vocal selections by" Mrs. Eagan. After tho programme refreshments refresh-ments were served ln the young men's clubroom. which was bright with a profusion pro-fusion of cut Mowers and plants. After the repast tho lime was pleasantly spent in various games. a A wedding of Interest was that of Miss Ella F. Conroy and C. R. Broughton. which took place Wednesday afternoon at -1 o'clock at tho Catholic church. The ceremony was performed ln tho presence of only Intlmnto friends and relatives. Rov. P. M. Cushnahan officiating. Tho bride- was attired ln an elegant tan trav-. ellng gown. After tho ceremony a wedding wed-ding repast was served at tho home of the brldo's brother. Dr. E. M. Conroy, on Lincoln avenue. Many handsome presents pres-ents wero received by the youns couple. Both aro well known In Ogden, tho bride having boon a popular member of the S. O. O. B. club for a number of years and director of tho Catholic choir.
