Show 'CABS PILED IIP Northern Pacific Traio Is Wrecked, Twelve Persons Are Injured, Several of Them Seriously. Seri-ously. Every Car in Train Except Two Were Thrown From the Track. LIND, Wash., Oct 23. Passenger traln oastbound on tho Northern Pacific, Pa-cific, was wrecked about two miles west of Lind at 9:30 this morning. Every car in tho train except one sleeper and the observation car was thrown from tho track and piled up. Cause of Wreck. The wreck was caused, so a section hand stated, by some new work that tho section men had just done not being properly tamped, letting the rails give way. Ralls and ties were torn up for 100 yards. Fortunately no one was killed, although some are badly Injured. Passengers Injured. ARNOLD, JAMES, Willows, Cal., hip hurt. BLOOM, GEORGE, Ackley, Minn., knee hurt BOWLES, MRS. GEORGE, Broadway, Broad-way, N. Y., knee hurt FLOOD, J. J., Northwest Territory, hurt internally. FIOVILLO. PICODA, Seattle, head hurt, leg bruised. NARCO, C. D.. Black Diamond, Wash., seriously.
