Show Salt Lake Chamber Readies Feb. Event Works by Haydn. Handel, Telemann and Corelli will be among those featured by the Salt Lake Chamber Ensemble during its Feb. 8 concert in the Michael Gallery of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts on the University of Utah campus. THE CONCERT, which begins be-gins at 8 p.m., includes the "London Trio No. I" by Joseph Haydn, "Sonata No. 5" by Arcangello Corelli and "Sonata in E Minor" by George Frederic Handel. Ensemble harpsichordist Rick Nobis will solo in selections selec-tions from "Pieces de Clavecin" Clave-cin" by Jean Phillips Rameau. The program concludes with "Quartet No. 3" from Georg Phillip Telemann's "Paris Quartets." THE ENSEMBLE has been performing the "Paris Quartet" Quar-tet" for its last two seasons. Sunday's concert will mark the performance of the sixth of the 12 quartets. Tickets, at the door are $3.50. $2 for students and senior citizens. |
