Show CATHOLIC SCHOOL WEEK First grade students at St. Olafs are involved in "workshop" activities as the teacher, Sister Mary Ann, guides and directs. They are noting Catholic School Week this week. eighth grade service program of giving lime, talent and self to the educationally handicapped students at Monte Vista School in Farmington. This program has been in operation for six years. The students have experienced this service as a two-way avenue of giving and receiving, ACCORDING to a recent parent questionnaire, academic acade-mic and religious excellence are the main reasons why parents pa-rents send their children to St. Olafs. The week of Feb. I -7 has been designated as Catholic Schools Week across the nation. na-tion. St. Olaf Catholic School in Bountiful is celebrating this week in many ways, including an open house, an assembly and a liturgy. ST. OLAF'S is staffed by a very dedicated faculty of four ; , - sisters and seven lay teachers ' who try to challenge children to meet their mental and spir-. spir-. itual potential. The school is especially noted for its strong language arts program which -.- correlates all aspects of the language skills and challenges the slow as well as the fast learner.
