Show Davis FcMs For Regioini i-eadl er as the Bears tried to put everyone to sleep with their tactics. Davis came away with a 28-24 win, only one man in that game managed double figures fi-gures with David Bock getting II. THEN ON Friday maybe the Darts were still thinking about the slow down affair since they just couldn't seem to get things going in the early going as the Bees rushed to an early lead and held on. Junior Brian Taylor led the Darts in scoring with 17 with Bock adding 12 followed by Lance Hill at 9 am4 Brent Hatch with 8 more. On Tuesday of this week the Darts hosted Ben Lomond, a club they have been looking forward to playing ever since . they lost the opening round game to the Scots. This time around through, Brian Taylor ' was scheduled to play. (Keep in mind this article was written on Monday). NOW LP ON their slate is the bottom of the heap Logan, but still a club that could very well knock off some of the big boys before the league is over. No one wants to be the first victim of the Grizzlies. With no wins and the season out of reach certain clubs get that loose feeling with nothing to lose. Logan almost came up big winners last week with a one point loss to Ben Lomond, a team that is fighting for a state berth. LOGAN ISN'T without talent ta-lent as center Brian Hunsaker is a good player. In last week's loss he scored 10 to lead the Grizzlies in a low scoring affair. Brian could very well cause problems in the middle for the Darts if they don't pay close attention to him. The line on the Darts is their overall balance. Taylor is going to get his share of the points but then people like Lance Hill. Lynn Lloyd, Dave Bock. Brad Caldwell and Brent Hatch are all capable of filling it up also. You never know which one of these guys is going to get the hot hand but any one of them is very capable cap-able of scoring 20 or more in a game. DAVIS NEEDS the win over Logan to stay in close contact with the two leaders. They especially can't allow the Logan squad to pick up the win and get back into the state picture. pic-ture. The Ben Lomond game is a big one in the revenge department depart-ment and hopefully they can get their minds back onto Logan by game time. If they take the Grizzlies lightly they could be in for a dog fight. If they take them seriously, they should win big. By DAVE WIGHAM KAYSVILLE - There probably isn't a more balanced league in the state then Region Four when it comes to basketball. basket-ball. At the halfway point of their league play there are four teams fighting it out for the championship. IT APPEARS as if those four teams will be in the state playoffs play-offs with the only thing left up for grabs is which position each will finish in region action. ac-tion. Davis is right in the thick of the action with a 3-2 league mark. Box Elder and Ogden lead the pack at this writing with 4-1 records with the Darts and Ben Lomond on their heels at 3-2. Bear River and Logan seem to be the weak sisters sis-ters in the league with the Bears at I -4 and Logan winless on the bottom of the pile. DAVIS SAW just about everything ev-erything last week in their two outings. First of all they saw Bear River come into town and let the air out of the ball then they traveled up to Box Elder and found themselves in a run and gun contest.
