POSTERS W ERE displayed all week in the halls lauding the dedication and devotion of the teachers and expressed appreciation appre-ciation to them. The board members are enjoying en-joying working with Garvin E. Carlile, the principal at Adelaide, Ade-laide, and the teachers and staff of the school. SOME OF the programs planned for the year have been such things as the school carnival car-nival held in October, which has provided the means toward to-ward purchasing some additional addi-tional playground equipment for the school; an International Day -designed to help the children chil-dren learn about and appreciate appreci-ate other countries and cultures. cul-tures. Also the Reflections contest which encourages the children to develop their talents and understanding of the arts; the Great Books program that teaches the children how to interpret in-terpret and evaluate literature and the symbolism involved throughout; and much more. THIS BEIS the 'official" Teacher Appreciation Week, (Jan. 26 through 30) provides a good opportunity to elaborate on the activities carried out in the teachers' behalf at Adelaide Ade-laide (theirs was held Jan. 12-16). 12-16). The PTA board did some really fun things for the school staff. Monday they received a nut cup with the attached note, "We're nuts about you."
