Show Plan Nmj For Now is the time to begin planning an entry in the flower show at the Davis County Fair. THIS SPRING plant the seeds and bulbs of the flowers that will be blooming in August during fair time. "The fair will be held Aug. 16, 17 and 18, and this year we're aiming to have the biggest big-gest and prettiest flower show, yet," Mrs. Glenna Leavitt, chairman of the floricultural department, said. SHE SUGGESTED planting gladioli, dahlias, petunias, roses, asters, begonias, celosia, chrysanthemums, clematis, cosmos, marigolds, pansies, snapdragons, sweet peas, zinnias, etc. for plentiful plen-tiful blooming in August. "Also, get those potted plants spruced up for displaying at the show," she suggested. THE FAIR premium book listing the various flower entry categories will be printed later this spring. In order to receive a premium book this year, you'll have to send a request tor one, giving your name and full address, to the Davis County Fair Board, Davis County Courthouse, Farmington, Utah 84025. "This request must be mailed to the board even if you have received a fair book in previous years," Mrs. Leavitt said. |
