Her 'friends often request this li w,M3l salad for special ,r imteons and it stays crisp and delicious, for even g several days if it lasts that H j' SEVEN LAYER SALAD . yi 1 head lettuce, medium head chopped 1 cup celery, chopped or sliced thin 1 cup green pepper, chopped or sliced 1 red onion, medium size, chopped 1 pkg. 10 oz. frozen peas, do not thaw or cook 1 V2 cups to 2 cups Miracle Whip iy2 cups shredded yellow cheese BEGINNING WITH the chopped lettuce, spread each layer, as given, into a 9x12 pan, glass is best. Be sure to sprinkle the still frozen peas over the onion layer, which keeps the salad well chilled while the flavors blend. Annette Hunsaker has made an unusual seven layer salad, popular with all her friends. It is easy to make, very tasty and crisp, good at any time of year. Anniessa and Natalie also like this type salad. Carefully spread the miracle whip over the peas and sprinkle with the cheese. Cover tightly with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate overnight or for several hours before serving. Then it may be spooned carefully onto the serving plates. FOR A luncheon, a meat dish with the salad and roils makes a delightful meal. Or for dinner, the salad is a pleasant change from a plain tossed salad. Try it with any meal and you may have to serve second helpings. The Hunsaker family has lived in Farmington for two years. Both Annette and - hubby Doug, are natives of Brigham City and graduated from Utah State University. Besides Aniessa and Natalie there are two sons, Thad who is 10 and Travis 8. They all love this community and especially es-pecially the great people. ANNETTE'S FAVORITE pasttime is dancing, all kinds. She says, "I am a recipe nut and trying them out, then collecting new ones." The family tests many kinds of foods. "Doug is a sports fan, participates par-ticipates in all the interesting sports, all kinds of ball, tennis ten-nis and other things and does them all well. He is now a coach for the Little League soccer team in Farmington. Is presently employed in a Salt Lake City bank but . spends all his spare time with various sports, kj |
