Show Bountiful By BERTHA L. MUIR 295-3742 Mr and Mrs. Greig Oar and sons Brian and Darin spent a vacation in California. They went to Disneyland and San Diego, and San Jose where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Hatch and their daughter Emily. Mrs. Wallace E. Hess and her grandson Jonathan Hess and Mrs. Stuart Slingerland and six children of Provo called to bring an Easter gift to grandma Bertha L. Muir on Thuiiday. They sang songs, had a "play dinner" and spread the spirit of Easter. They also-called also-called on Mrs. Ruby Layton. The American Legion Girl State Organization of the George R. Day Post met last week to choose a girl state representative to attend the annual Girl State meeting which will be held in June. Mrs. Judy Oar is the chairman chair-man of the local organization. She also holds an exectuve office in the state group. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Munns of Brigham City have a baby boy born Saturday, April 7, 1979, in a Brigham City Hospital. Hos-pital. The baby is named Joshua Max. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Max L. Muir of Brigham City and Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Munns of Tremonton. This new baby makes the eighteenth greatgrandchild great-grandchild for Bertha L. Muir. There are two other children, Jason and Myrissa, . to welcome the new baby. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Clark and daughter, Laura, of Rupert, Ida. are Easter weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keddington. ; They joined the Keddingtons for an Easter dinner Sunday. The local Narfe Chapter met Monday, April 9, at the South Davis County Library. Plans were made for delegates to attend the state convention. An effort is being made to recruit new members. Mrs. Carol Cahoon, president, conducted the meeting. Plans were made for an election of officers at the next regular meeting. Hortin Hess was named chairman of -the nominating committee. The Jessamine Literary Club will meet Saturday, April 21, at the home of Mrs. Evaletta Thompson in Salt Lake City. Club President, Mrs. Lillian Garrett, urges all members to be present. An interesting program will be presented. The Young Adults from the Bountiful 26th Ward made many senior citizens in the area happy Thursday eventing, even-ting, by visiting with them and J. leaving them with plates'Of "' home baked cookies. They telephoned first to let us know they were coming then they r stayed to visit a bit, a cour-' cour-' tesy we senior citizens enjoy. The Golden Years monthly luncheon will be held Thursday, Thurs-day, April 19, at the center. A good luncheon has been planned and a very special musical program will be presented. Make your reservations reser-vations early. Mrs. Alice Newman is happy to be at home again after spending five weeks in Anchorage, Alaska with her sister Rayone Bingham.. Rayone had been a guest of Alice and other relatives in the Bountiful area for six weeks. . The book review will meet at the Golden Years Center on Monday May 7.
