Show Gaslight Theater Moves Back To Saturday Mountain Fuel Supply Company announced its popular television program Gaslight Theater, will move back to Saturday night, starting start-ing at 10 p.m. on KSTU, TV-20. The switch will take place-Saturday. May 5. The movie will be the 1940 presentation "Mark of Zorro." SINCE THE first of the year, the program has been on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. "Ratings and surveys indicate in-dicate that viewers like the Saturday night time much better than Thursdays," said Dale Zabriskie, Mountain Fuel spokesman. "Our move to Thursdays was promoted by a desire to place the show in prime time, however, it appears that the later weekend time period is more convenient for most viewers. By starting at 10 p.m., almost all of our shows will be over before midnight," Zabriskie 1 said. "IN ADDITION, the ' program will begin with a I brief summary of news, : weather and sports, so 1 viewers can be informed I about the important happen-, happen-, ings of the day and still watch a great movie," Zabriskie ' said. i Except for the addition of the news summary, the format for-mat of the program will i remain unchanged with only two interruptions for informational infor-mational messages during the entire movie. MOUNTAIN Fuel will continue con-tinue to make the movies shown on Gaslight Theater available for showing eight weeks later on Cinema Seven, on KUED Channel 7. |
