Show 500 Guests Attend Reception, Wedding Dinner The wedding dinner honoring Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Cuch was prepared by the Duchesne Stake Relief Society Relations Committee, Fay Merkley, president; presi-dent; Myrtle Wilcken. first counselor; Elizabeth Rowley, second sec-ond counselor; Florence Madsen and Hazel Walters, board members. mem-bers. Decorations, depicting the red and white 'Sweetheart" theme, were planned and prepared under un-der the direction of the Duchesne Du-chesne Stake Primary Association Associa-tion Relations Committee. Helping Help-ing with the decorations were Helen Odekirk, Stake Primary president; Jennie Edler Graham, Alice Moon, Eva Koyen, Hilda Barker, Manila Madsen, Betty Coleman, Unice Remund, Mildred Mil-dred Smith. Sylvia Abbott, Elsie El-sie Gunter and Marvella Wilker-son. Wilker-son. This group decorated the Relief Society room where the marriage was solemnized, the banquet room, where the wedding wed-ding dinner was served to approximately ap-proximately 80 guests, and the stage and the recreation hall. Those who served the guests were Naomi Addley. Martha Lou Horrocks, Anna Dee Harris, Har-ris, Elva VanTassell. Jessij White, Lu Ann Cole. Karine Kofford, and Karol Lyn Smith. The public reception was planned under the direction of the Duchesne Stake Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association Relations Committee, headed by Orin Curry, Cur-ry, of Hanna. and Arietta Williams, Wil-liams, of Duchesne. Highlights of the program presented during the reception were the songs of Lorena Io.rg, and the Turkey Dance performed perform-ed by a group of Indian boys wearing the traditionally colorful color-ful feathered and beaded costumes cos-tumes of the dance. Dancers were Albert Manning, Vincent Cuch, Jasper Cuch, Bishop Ar-rowchis Ar-rowchis and Clifford Duncan. Singers were Charley Cuch and Haxvey Mianna, and the announcement an-nouncement was made by Del-sa Del-sa Durfey, a missionary. American folk dancing1 was directed di-rected during the reception by the regional dance directors, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchana.i, of Roosevelt. Cookies and punch were served to the approximately 500 guests at the reception by the Duchesne Stake Activity group, headed by Arwella Moon. Members of the Indian Mission Mis-sion were in charge of receiving the guests. The gift table was laden la-den with both ornamental and utility presents for the young couple. The social event finished up with an hour of modern ballroom ball-room dancing to the music of an all-Indian orchestra, comprised of Julius Murray, whiterocks, saxophone; Leonard LaRose, Ft. Duchesne, trumpet; Jason Cuch, Fort Duchesne, bass viol; and Lorena Iorg, piano; assisted by Mrs. Mattie Reynolds, a missionary. |
