Show HARDSHIPS OVER ESTATE OF PARNELL vt f r parsons die in poverty owing to delay in settlement dublin august 6 an interesting discussion respecting the estate of the lato mr C S parnell took place in the dublan law courts saturday it was mentioned that owing to the delay in the settlement persons to whom money was due had died in poverty counsel who appeared tor creditors who had proved their debts fourteen or fifteen years ago said there was a suit in england to administer tha real and personal estate of the late irish leader but the funds were in ireland he was willing to transfer them but he did not want to send too much to england as he hoped some might be made out of these funds tor mra pamella Pa mells dowery mr henry campbell ex M P town clerk of dublin formerly mr private secretary and now one of tha creditors of the estate mentioned as an instance of the hardship caused by delay that a few days before mr parnell died his agent bought some cattle from a dealer in the neighborhood of rathdrum Rath drum the agent died soon after mr parnell the cattle which were not paid for remained on the estate and the dealer could not get them back A sum of about pounds was owing to this man the result that hia credit was destroyed and he died in poverty his children were still waiting for the money mr justice ross said he would put the case in the list for monday and notices would be given to mrs par boils solicitors he should expect to be supplied with a scheme suggesting how much money ought to be kept tor mrs parnelle jointure and how much should be abent to tha english courts |
