I'eterson of Forron claimed as his bride Miss Wilma Wil-ma Manning of Cedar City In a ceremony performed Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Cedar Fourth Ward. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was Bishop Wallace J. Sjoblom. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Manning and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sceloy J. Petersen. Immediately following the ceremony cer-emony the young couple was honored at a reception also held in the Cedar Fourth Ward. Greeting guests the bride wore a gown of white lace over bridal satin. Her veil was caught to a crown of white velvet and she carried a bridal bouquet of red rose buds. Attending the bride were Mrs. Gene Sorensen, a sister of the bride, and Mrs. Arden Larsen, a sister of the bridegroom. Attendants At-tendants were attired in dresses of blue taffeta. Standing as best man for the nuptial exchange was Gene Sor-enson Sor-enson with Melvin Manning filling fill-ing the duties of usherr. For the occaion the mother of the bHHe chose a crepe dress of royal bluo and the mother of the bridegroom wore a dress of light , blue lace. Both wore corsages of -white carnations. The couple left after the reception re-ception for a short honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nev., after which they will return to Ferron to make their home. Thursday evening, Nov. 17, the newlyweds will be honored at an open house, hosted In Ferron by the parents of the bridegroom. The new Mrs. Peterson Is a graduate of Cedar City High School and has attended College of Southern Utah. For the past three years she has been employ- ed at the Walker Bank in Salt Lake City. Mr. Peterson has completes! a four-year tour of duty with tiie U. S. Air Force and Is now em-1 ployed at Ferron. He Is a graduate grad-uate of South Emery High School. |
