Show Funeral Services Held Saturday For Walter Robb Impressive funeral services were held Saturday in Paragon-ah Paragon-ah for Walter Robb, who died Wednesday, June 5, in the hospl-tal hospl-tal in Cedar City from injuries received in an automobile accident. acci-dent. Bishop Boyd Robinson conducted conduct-ed the services which began with the choir singing "I Need Thee Every Hour," under the direction of D. Amasa Stones and with Mrs. Melva Barton at the organ. Thomas A. Robinson offered of-fered the invocation. A history of the deceased was given by Miss Helen Stones. Speakers were K. Doyle Robinson Robin-son and D. Amasa Stones. Special Spe-cial musical numbers included a vocal solo. "One Fleeting Hour". by Miss Mary Topham of Parowan, Paro-wan, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Melva Barton, and a saxophone sax-ophone solo, "Whispering Hope," by Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Sarah Robinson. Robin-son. The choir sang "O, My Father," and Clark Lamoreaux pronounced pronounc-ed the benediction. Mrs. Melva Barton played prelude and post-lude post-lude music. At the cemetery the choir sang "Slumber" and Myron Abbott gave the dedicatory prayer. Simon Walter Robb was born January 14, 1892 in Paragonah, a son of Samuel and Ammanda Dailey Robb. He married Ethel Stones on Oct. 5, 1913 in the St. George Temple. Three sons were born to them. The youngest, Lyle, lost his life over Luzon in World War II while on a special mission mis-sion for the Air Corps. Walter Robb was an expert sheep shearer and farmer, and held many positions of trust in the community. He was a member mem-ber of the bishopric of the Paragonah Para-gonah Ward for ten years. He served as adult aaronic priesthood priest-hood supervisor and In the presidency presi-dency of the Stake High Priests Quorum. He Is survived bv his widow two sons, James S., Salt Lake City, Ci-ty, and Ward S., Cedar City; six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild; great-grandchild; two brothers, Milton, Salt Lake City, and Calvin, Cedar Ce-dar City.
