Show i. j ,1 - RACHEL MARY MILLS Rachel Mills dies in county hospital Rachel Mary Mills, 83, of Vernal, died in the Uintah County Hospital July 30, 1980. Born Aug. 26, 1896 in Roundup, Kan., she was the daughter of George and Eliza Marie Inglis Martin. She married Roy Donald Mills, Dec. 18, 1918 in Craig, Colo. He died May 10, 1979. Mrs. Mills was a member of the Kingsbury Community Church. Rev. Dane Packard conducted the funeral in the Kingsbury Community Church Saturday, Aug. 2. Rev. Packard gave the family prayer and Marva Lent and Lois Erickson sang "Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Ruth Walker. Following remarks by Rev. Packard, Mrs. Lent and Mrs. Erickson sang, "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Walker. Rev. Packard dedicated the grave in the Vernal Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Rondle Rogers, Bryce Erickson, Roy Freestone, Claudius Banks, Floyd Tobe" Wilkens, and Lynn McCarrell. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Charles L. (Mary) Herman of Vernal; two grandchildren, David Herman, of Steamboat, Colo., and Judy Strong of Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; great-granddaughter, great-granddaughter, Leslie Ann Strong of Fort Huachuca. Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Freestone of Vernal. |
