John Hullinger ceiptures singles championship John Hullinger, Roosevelt, defeated Burke Eldredge of Roosevelt, 6-3, 7-6, for first place singles in the Uintah High School tennis team and Sunset Sport Center tennis tournament, Saturday. Hullinger defeated Lynn Bigelow of Vernal, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round and toppled Leonard Ducharme, 6-1, 6-0, in the second round. Hullinger advanced into the championship round when he toppled Tom Sprouse, 7-6, 6-3. Tom Sprouse downed Bruce Nelson, 6-2, 6-2, in the first round and downed Tom W. Williams in the second round, 6-1, 6-0, Tom W. Williams toppled Russell ' Goodrich in the first round and Leonard Ducharme nipped Edward James, 7-6, 7-6. Eldredge toppled Albert Werden, 6-2, 6-4, in the first round and downed Tom J. Williams, 6-1, 6-0, in the second round. Kent Bigelow toppled Greg Williams, 6-1, 6-0, in the first round and David Sowards downed Glen Markham. Tom J. Williams defeated Greg Thomson, Thom-son, 7-6, 6-4, in the first round. David Sowards edged Kent Bigelow in the second se-cond round, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. Burke Eldredge advanced into the championship champion-ship contest when he defeated David Sowards, 6-4, 6-4. Burke Eldredge placed plac-ed second in the tournament. Lynn Bigelow pocketed the consolation crown when he defeated Albert Werden, 6-3, 6-4. Tom Sprouse and Glen Markham captured the doubles championship due to a 6-1, 7-6, victory over John Davisson and Burke Eldredge. Eldredge and Davisson advanced into the championship champion-ship contest when they toppled David Sowards and Leonard Ducharme, 6-0, 6-2. Bruce Nelson and Robert Nelson toppled Tom W. Wiliams and Tom J. Williams, 6-1, 6-3.
