The pistol shoot will begin at the Vernal Rod and Gun Club at 7 a.m. Each participant in the shoot will fire five rounds from 25 yards in two minutes, 20 seconds and 10 seconds. First aid competition will begin at "Remember the Maine" Park, Friday at 1:30 p.m. First aid teams selected from each patrol will be faced with three simulations where first aid is needed. The teams will be judged on how well they perform within a time limit in each situation, McDonald said. Saturday at the Honda Hills, beginning at 9 a.m., will be a road rally. The 4-wheel drive units will be judged on how well they negotiate turns and climb hills, rather than speed, McDonald Mc-Donald said. An awards banquet will conclude the activities Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Vernal Junior High. Board members will be elected Friday at 10:30 a.m. and a barbecue and dance will be Friday night. |
