Show Telirttha Rasmussen I Phone 722-4675 J Couple to marry in Manti Temple Edward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts Jr. and Wendy Sue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Devoy Willden, of Aurora Utah will be married Aug. 8 in the Manti Man-ti Temple. An open house will be held Friday Aug. 15 from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Jr. Betts home. Robert Page, son of Mr. and Mrs. Zane Asay and the late John S. Page and Deon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Truman of Roosevelt will be married August 8 in the Provo Temple. There will be an open house Aug. 8, at 447 East Lagoon St. in Roosevelt with a program at 9:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Ercanbrack and daughter, Aneita, went to California last Thursday to visit, Mr. and Mrs. Bevin Ercanbrack and see their new grandson blessed and named. They returned home last Tuesday. The Stanley Womacks have a new grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Womack July 20 at the Duchesne County Coun-ty Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was named, Mikel Wade. Other grandparents grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Powell of Roosevelt. Great grandparents are Mrs. Thelma Womack of Vernal. Mrs. Hilda Arnold of Gusher and Mrs. James Powell of Mt. Wells. Lenore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler has received a call to go on an LDS mission to North Carolina. She will enter the mission training center Aug. 21 at Provo. Her call came thru a BYU ward at Provo, where she has been attending college. Ruth Rasmussen, took Karen Beavers and Terri Rasmussen to the Salt Lake airport last Sunday to charter, a plane to Boston, Mass., to visit Terri 's father, Max Rasmussen for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Spencer and three children attended the Dallas Spencer family reunion at Lodgepole at the head of Daniels Canyon last Friday and Saturday. Four sons and two daughters and families were there, also their mother, Zolla Spencer. They held a program pro-gram and a family dinner. Friday night they had a sing-a-long around the campfire. Inez Kettle has returned home after spending some time in Idaho visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Alden White are here visiting at their daughter's home, the Karl Betts. They came to attend their family reunion held at Bacon Park last Friday and Saturday. All of their children were in attendance. They camped overnight, held a program, had a family dinner and a planning meeting on family organization. The Norman Angus' were here from the Wasatch front to visit his father, Lee Angus. The Lee Angus family held their reunion reu-nion at Iron Springs last Thursday, and Friday and came home Saturday. They camped and ran the river from the dam down to Little Hole. Along with visiting they did the usual things at their reunion. reu-nion. Lee has a posterity of 94 of whom 89 are living, all but 12 attended. Visitors at the Jr. and Carol Betts home for a week were her brother, George McConkie and his children, Charles, Trisha and Lynett from Reno, Nev. George's other two children, David and Julie and her two children from Star Valley, Wyo., were here three days. The Betts and McConkies all attended at-tended a Dewey McConkie reunion at Alpine and then visited Timpanogos cave. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey McConkie spent a week visiting the Murphys in Ogden and the Merrells in Logan. |
