Cross country racer JENSEN SPECIAL-Doug Shipiro of Rochester, New York is a very ambitious am-bitious 16 year old youth who wanted to see the nation from eye level, so he chose to ride his 15 speed racer cross country. Starting out from San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif., he is peddling his way home and enjoying scenery, people and fresh air all the time. Doug set out to do something extraordinary ex-traordinary so with his parents permission per-mission and help, he went to the coast to begin his experience in June. When asked if he thought he was physically in condition when he started, he told us that if he wasn't to begin with, he was by the time he was on the road a few days later. When he was packing his gear for the trip he didn't have room for a camera so he assured his mother that he would ask people along the way to take his picture and sent it home to his mom then she could keep track of his i progress.
