Show District Welfare Offices Closed, Moved To Provo District welfare offices throughout through-out Utah county have been closed and the services of these offices placed with a central office at Provo, Pro-vo, under a change of procedure which became effective yesterday (Thursday). The, order affects the local welfare wel-fare offices those of L. P. Kocher-hans, Kocher-hans, case worker for district No. 4, comprising the Fourth ward, Alpine and Highland; and Mrs. E. T. Ball, case worker for district No. 3, comprising com-prising the First, Second and Third wards. The new procedure applies to assistance, aid to dependent children, chil-dren, aid to the blind, and general assistance. According to a bulletin issued by William II. Callahan, county director direc-tor of the department of public welfare, all welfare clients should keep in mind that: After February 20 there will be only one Welfare Office in Utah county, which will be at the City and County building in Provo. After February 20 there will be no more office hours or interviews, as all district offices will be closed. After February 20 the only place clients may see their case worker to have an interview will be in their own borne. In case of emergent need, they may arrange for a visit by correspondence (card or letter) or by calling at the office in Provo and requesting it. After February 20 all new applications appli-cations for all types of assistance must be made at the intake office in Provo. After February 20 all applications to have a case reopened must be made at the intake office in Provo. |
