Show Junior Ladies Literary Group Organized Here A junior ladies literary club was formed Wednesday evening at a i meeting at the home of Mrs. H. C. Jensen, president of the Ladies Literary Lit-erary club. The senior organization organiza-tion is the sponsor of the new group. Mrs. Stanley Bonnett of Provo, director and junior club chairman of the first district of the Utah Federated clubs, met with the charter chart-er members of the new club. She j explained the purposes and benefits ' of federation, and offered suggestions sugges-tions on the organization of the junior group. Mrs. Jensen represented repre-sented the Ladies Literary club at the meeting. Election of officers was the principal prin-cipal business of the meeting. Helen Hel-en Haslam was chosen as president, with Mildred Greenwood, vice president; presi-dent; Mary Walton, secretary and treasurer; Lillian Wilde, program chairman, assisted by Essie Jane Sowards and Christine Ramsay; Miss Edith Walker, reporter. Other charter members are Helen Green, Valine Hansen and Verda Fagen. Miss Greenwood also will act as historian, until that office is filled. It was decided to hold two meetings meet-ings each month. At the next business busi-ness meeting, to be held March 6 at the home of Lillian Wilde, the name of the club will be decided upon, and a constitution and by-laws adopted. o |
