Show Fourth Ward M Men Hoopsters Win Berth In District Tourney Undefeated in Alpine stake M Men basketball competition, the American Ameri-can Fork Fourth ward team will represent the stake in the district tournament to be held at Spring-ville, Spring-ville, starting Wednesday of next week and continuing through to Saturday night, March 1. With ten victories to their credit, and with their unusually fine showing show-ing in stake competition, the Fourth ward team is rated as one of the best M Men teams ever turned out in this stake. They are expected to be strong contenders for the district championship and a berth in the all-stake tournament to be held later at Salt Lake City. Local fans are giving their loyal support to the Fourth ward team, and many are planning to take in the tournament at Springville. The Alpine stake winner will play the Nebo stake winner the first night. The Fourth ward roster includes Melvin Anderson, Jay Christensen, John Durrant, Gordon Lee, Don Par-duhn, Par-duhn, Alma Watkins, Sherman Greenwood, and Lynn Robinson. Warreri T. Anderson is their coach. In the final round of play in the second half, Wednesday night, Highland High-land defeated the First ward, 36 to 34; Second ward downed the Third ward, 40 to 21; and the Fourth ward defeated Alpine, 52 to 32.
