Show Motorists Fined In Local Courts; Warrants Issued A number of motorists appearing in the precinct and city courts here were fined on traffic violations, during dur-ing the first half of February. In the city court of Justice of the Peace William Elsmore, fines were meted out as follows: K. J. Knas-phus, Knas-phus, Salt Lake City, speeding, $5; I Lynn Deering of Provo, speeding, $10; Bruce Fowler of Lehi, running a stop sign, $2; and E. J. Butler of Salt Lake City, speeding, $7.50. Motorists appearing in the precinct pre-cinct court of Justice of the Peace Irving L. Pratt included D. M. Wad-ley Wad-ley of Pleasant Grove, fined $5 for driving without an operator's license; Leo Sudweeks of Salt Lake City, $5 for running a stop sign; Vichi De-Vorick De-Vorick of Hollywood, California, $25 for speeding; Tony Angeles of Helper, Help-er, driving car with expired California Califor-nia license plates, fined $5 with the fine remitted on condition that license li-cense plates be secured; Raymond Marks of Bingham, $20 for speeding; Owen George of Provo, $5 for passing pass-ing a car on the right side; Verl Mallison of Pleasant Grove, $5 for running a stop sign. Judge Pratt issued a warrant of arrest for Cyril. L. Curtis of Delta, when Curtis failed to appear on a ticket given for having defective clearance lights on his truck. A warrant also was issued for Duane Harper of Elmo, Utah, for failure to appear on a ticket given for driving a truck without proper clearance lights. In both cases, officers were authorized to accept $15 bond. Verl Walker of Murray, appearing before Judge Pratt Tuesday, pleaded guilty to driving a car on the wrong side of the highway, a charge resulting result-ing from an accident on the Alpine highway on Friday night of last week. He was fined $20. o |
