Show Girls Camp May Come to Am. Fork Canyon There is a movement on foot to establish a permanent camp for the Salt Lake Council of Girl Scouts in American Fork Canyon. The camp to be constructed this year will be used by 1000 Girl Scouts. The Salt Lake City commission has formally adopted the resolution which makes Salt Lake City sponsor of the F E R A project covering a $25,000 grant. Forest Ranger V. N. West, when approached about the proposed project pro-ject stated that the camp is to be established either in American Fork canyon or Big Cottonwood canyon, the former being preferred. Several sites had been suggested in American Ameri-can .Fork canyon, including Silver Lake flat, Timpooneke Basin and Saw Mill flat, any one of which would offer a desirable location for the camp. o |
