Help Needed to Care for Crops It was reported that all winter : grain had been badly damaged i by the late frost last spring. ! While the frost did hurt the winter grain in most instances i we are pleased to state that the damage is not nearly so great as ; a .whole, as at first reported. The crops here, however, are so extensive that lots of it is stan- ding in the fields long after i t ; should have been cut and that , many more men and teams are i needed to care for it. Work, it ; is said could be found for a hun- d'red more men on the project : right now. The Delta Land & ; W.ater Co., also has a large i amount of work on hands, buil-1 buil-1 ding ditchs and plowing and not 1 near men enough in sight to : do it.
