Millard Exhibits Exhib-its Wanted State Fair Exhibit Solicitor Solic-itor Here Lining up Products E. E-Smith, of Bountiful, who is acting in the capacity of exhibit ex-hibit gatherer for the Utah State fair for Millard, Washington, Washing-ton, Iron, and Beaver countries, was here last Friday and Saturday Satur-day looking up exhibits for the fair, which will be held in Salt Lake for ten days this fall beginning be-ginning on the twenty-eight day of September. Mr. Smith is very enthusiastic as to promotion of the state and particularly his countries. He wishes to put Millard Mil-lard county in the front rank with the biggest and best exhibit ex-hibit of any county in the state and thinks he can do so if the people of Millard will lend him their assistance. Mr. Smith says that this will be the best year ever for the people of Utah to call to the attention at-tention of the homebuilders of the United States the wonderful won-derful resources of the state. There are from 4,00 to 6.000 people peo-ple passing thru Salt Lake on their way to the California fairs every day and they are taking in the sights of the city and studying study-ing the resources and possibilities possibili-ties of the State. Many of them with a vow of sooner or later locating in some territory in the West. They will naturally turn to the part of the country which, from its exhibits, most strongly appeals to them. If we have an exhibit at the fair of which we are capable of producing produc-ing we will be favored with a goodly share of those who are looking for homes in the west. Mr. Smith wants to obtain samples of all the best products of the whole county and will be here every week or two from now on to locate and gather them up. He particularly wants representations of thrashed grains of all kinds, 1-2 bushel, and all vegetables and fruits which are a credit to the county. Now dont overlook this matter. Here is one of the best opportunities opportun-ities ever to advertise the county a county equal to any in the Intermountain region. One whose resources and possibilities are not realized by even many of the residences, and one whose greatness has never been called to the attention of the outside world.
