Show Sudan Grass Experiments In conversation with E. E. Smith, who was here the first ol the week looking for exhibits we learned some thing of the nature of Sudan grass which has recently recent-ly come into prominence as s forage crop, and which it was questionable whether or not it was adapted to this climate. Mr. Smith has a field of the grass growing on his place at Bountiful Bounti-ful and states that it does fine and is a wonderful forage plant, having made growth enougr this year for two cuttings. One , of over six feet and one ovei seven feet. It is an excellent ; feed, being of the nature of cam ; and sweet, and the largest stalks ; being only as thick as a leac ; pencil, when cut. It is an annua ; and would make fine crop for th ; farmer on nt-w land who has w forage crop started. !
