An Impression has taken hold of a large number of people here that we need not look for electric light In our homo for a long time In the future. It may be well for those of this opinion, and In fact everybody, to know that the High Creek Light & Power Co. will H be in a position to furnish everyone H tvho wishes light by the 1st of August H this year. In speaking about this proposition with General Manager J. I. Shepard that gentleman Informed the writer that ho was Just In recept of a letter from Mr. M. It. Gwlu, of H Hoisc, Idaho, the president of this company, requesting Mr. Shepard to H push the work of putting up the plant, poles, stringing wire etc., along the proposed routes, with all the help H he can get. Ho wants the plant to bo tH in full operation by July 1st. H Kir. Shepard will push the work, but allows himself thirty days graco H from above lime and promise us lhjht H August 1st, this year. To show that H the company means business they H have started work on their plant up ijH Muddy this week with thirty teams ;H and drivers and ten extra men. They H need and will give work to twenty H teams and ten to tlftccn men more, H paying them $4 00 per day for teams il and $2.00 per day single hand. Furth- iH cr, the company commenced work also "H in completing putting In poles from ;H Richmond on tho county road to ,H Preston this week, with eight men, H and several more can find a Job help- fH ing in this work at $2.00 per day If H they wish. Mr. Shepard further H slates that after the "Muddy" plant 1) is completed they will commence work 'H and push to completion as quickly as IH possible the plant up High Creek jH canyon, their original location.
