Show Enoch antTnidvalley By Cora Muri Owen Matheson spent most of the week in Salt Lake City. Hazel Dawn Murie suffered a severely lacerated chin this week when she fell from her bicycle. It was necessary to take several stitches to close the wound. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Matheson Mathe-son of Salt Lake City spent the week end visiting: with relatives here and in Cedar City. Ronnie Crlmshaw has been interviewed in-terviewed for a mission. He Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Grlmshaw. The young people held a fireside fire-side at Clark Maxwell's Sunday evening. Aaron Hansen from the Cedar LDS Institute was the speaker. The Busy Bees 4-H Club met with our 4-H Club leader Helen Jones Friday to organize the summer's work. Officers of the club are Trudy Jones, president; Audrey Gilliam, vice president; Ardis Daly, secretary; Lola May Richardson, recreation chairman; Delia Garfield, song leader, and Mary Ann Grlmshaw, reporter. Thursday, May 2 about 60 boys and girls and their parents met in the recreation hall to organize organ-ize for their summer work in 4-H Everyone present enjoyed singing, sing-ing, games, and a talk by Emma Nlelson. She stressed the importance import-ance of each member In making a good club and community, and their obligations and privileges In working together. Wallace Sloblom, county agent, introduced introduc-ed some new projects. Three boys clubs with projects In gar-denlng, gar-denlng, crops and tractor maintenance main-tenance and livestock; and four girls' clubs with projects In home beautification and improvement, clothing and foods were organized organ-ized Refreshments were served by leaders Helen Jones, Lela Gibson, Ellen Anderson, Normal Carter, Hilda, Henry and Maurlne Grim-shaw Grim-shaw and Leon, Mildred and Louis Maxwell. Word was received Monday from Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mathews Math-ews at Logan, of the birth of a son. Mrs. Mathews Is the former Aurella Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Jones. Mrs. Jones will leave Thursday to spend a few days getting acquainted with her first grandchild. Garth Jones participated In the regional track meet at Fillmore last Friday. Several of our young people attended the music festival Saturday Sat-urday at Fillmore. Those making the trip were CoraLe Gibson, Beverly Jones, Jeannle Adair, Llynn and Linda Grlmshaw. Carol Car-ol Richardson, Avey Matheson and Lorna Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vanden-berghe Vanden-berghe are visiting at the home of Mrs. Vandenberghe's parents, Bishop and Mrs. Stanford Jones. Henry has Just been released from the Army where he was a first lieutenant in the 246th Field Artillery Missile Battalion. They were stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas, Tex-as, and the last 14 months at Ft. Sill, Okla., where Henry was second counse'oi in the new L. D. S. branch Lresldency there.
