Invited as guests for the afternoon were the members of the chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and honor was also given them as Mothers at this special season of the year. Other special guests were Myrtle Heywood (daughter), Mrs. Merna Hansink (grand-daugh. ter), Mrs. Delorea Graff (daughter-in-law), Mrs. Isobell Williams and Mrs. Bonnie Prestwich (granddaughters-ln-law). Each gave breif tributes to the honored honor-ed guest. Chicken was served I'rom an old English turee'i which was brought across' the plains by handcart. Stuffed tomatoes were served on English bone chlnt, whHe the strawberry shortcake was served on willow ware which has been Mrs. Graff's prized pos-sission pos-sission since her early married years. Tineapple frappe was service in matching cups and, saucers. Red roses and old fashioned lilacs adorned the rooms and brought the fragrance of spring Into the home. On either side the the fireplace twr rass buckets buck-ets served as floor vases for lovely arrangements of lilacs. One of these biuVets was broueht across the plains by Mrs. Graff's grandparents and the other was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Graff m.iny years atro. In her antique cabinets. Mrs. Prestwich had placed candl moulds which had been used to mold candles diuir.g m'nn!-lation m'nn!-lation of both Duncan and Vlr-gin. Vlr-gin. Also on display were an authentic pioneer wheat grinder used for grinding what for cereal cer-eal and breads, and a butter crock Jar. For the occasion, a red rose corsage was presented to Mrs. Graff, the guest of honor. During the afternoon. Sheldon Prestwich, a gTandson. entertained entertain-ed with guitar and song In bringing back some of the old time favorites. Mrs. Prestwich imve a tribute to her mother and Mrs. ; Glen Tunis paU soeclal tribute to all of the oldf f rioneer Mothers.
