Show Local Steelworkers Unit Awards Scholarships The local unit of the United Steelworkers of America has awarded two $150 scholarships to children of union members, to be used in continuing their education edu-cation in college. The organization. Local 1751, recently announced that the scholarships would be made available annually. However, If no eligible students apply for the scholarship $100 will be contributed con-tributed to the College of Southern South-ern Utah scholarship fund. Patricia Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Gardner of Cedar City, and Bonlta Terry, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Terry of Enterprise, were announced an-nounced winners of this year's scholarship awards. Patricia is a student at the Cedar City High School and Bonlta a student at the Enterprise High School. The scholarship winners may cake their own choices on the institution they wish to attend. It may be a regular college, bus- iness college or vocational school. The scholarships will be paid in two Installments, $75 when the iudent enrolls and the remaind'f at the beginning of the second quarter. |
