Show Cedar Junior High Band Aided By Willing Workers By L. C Miles Miracles never cease! In a little lit-tle over one month committees were organized, meetings were held, plans began to take shape and before the anticipated time the Cedar City Junior High band uniforms were here and ready for use. It Just couldn't be done but thanks to a lot of unusual ...Mil-.- p;cpl; It hi; besr. done, and the band met Its date in Fillmore with colors flying. Their playing was superior, and their marching with the classy uniforms was really a thrill to all who saw the parade. For all of this we say "Thank You." The Cedar City Elks, who were tops as usual In raising funds, $2000; the Iron County Board of Education, who graciously graci-ously contributed $1,500; the P. T. A., who started the fund in 1952 by contributing $75.00; the Ladles Softball League, who contributed con-tributed their savings, $25.00; the Band Parents organization, and Cedar Junior High contribution of $500. The following committees were appointed at the first general meeting of the Band Parent -r-ganization and carried the project pro-ject to completion: Selection- of Uniforms: Ada Carpenter, chairman; Beldon Lewis, Claire Jones, Leo Cahoon, Mae Boyter. Finance: Edward A. Parry, chairman; H. M. Endsley, Dr. Reed Farnsworth, Francis Beten-son, Beten-son, Burns Shenat Ex-officio members: Gene Hel-land, Hel-land, Glen II. Campbell, Wayne Jackson, L.
