Show Workers from Age 60 Covers Disabled Social Security Law Disabled workers under 65 should get In toucfe with their local social security office Immediately Im-mediately if they have not already al-ready done so, says Mr.Keslt r T. Powell, Manager of Provo District Dis-trict Office. Disabled workers between the ages of 50 and 65 and their dependents de-pendents are now eligible to monthly benefits inder social security. To be eligible for these benefits the worker must have been employed or self-employed In covered work for at least five years out of the ten yars before be-fore the disability began. The Impairment must be expected to continue indefinitely and must be severe enough to prevent the individual from doing any further fur-ther substantial gainful work. Those workers under 50 who become severely disabled should contact the social security office to freeze their earnings record. This is important to protect their rights by the freeze unless they file a claim with their social security sec-urity office. If you are a disabled worker under 65, get m touch with your local social security office to find out about your rights under the disability provisions under the Social Security Act.
