Left, Norma Jean Randall, and Lmda Kay Wheelwright Cedar City Girls Receive $200 Scholarships Norma Joan Randall, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Randall, Ran-dall, and Linda K. Wheelwright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Don-ald Wheelwright both girls of Cedar City, have Just received notice. that they have won $200 Union Pacific scholarships, reports re-ports Mabel Mcrrell, Iron County Coun-ty Agent. Both plan to major in home economics at CSU, Linda this coming fall and Norma the following year. Norma Is a Junior In high school this year. She won her nrhnlarshlp through her work in 4-H work in Iron County. During the seven years she has been projects in foods, -clothing and en rol led she has completed 12 Junior leadership. Last year, Norma Nor-ma was one of the winners of the county style dress review. She gives credit to her success In 4-H, to her leader, Ada Carpenter Car-penter who encouraged her and helped her with her work. Linda has just moved from Juab County where most of her 4-H work was accomplished. She is now a senior In high school. During her seven years In 4-H, under the direction of her mother, moth-er, she has completed 12 projects, pro-jects, most in clothing with some foods and three years as a junior leader. Linda won the county style dress review twice and has received eight country medals over the years. Both girls plan to continue on with their 4-H work this summer. We are very happy to see these deserving girls win the awards and congratulate them on thcL-success. |
