Show Singles Effort by Kemp Spencer Highlights ICBA Tournament Play Kemp Spencer of Cedar City took over the spotlight in the first week end of play in the First Annual Iron County Bowling Bowl-ing Tournament when he rolled a 289 game which Included 10 successive strikes. Bowling Sunday evening in the singles event of the tournament play, after the eighth frame with eight strikes behind him, all other action stopped In the house. He struck In the. ninth and then again in the tenth to give him only the two bonus ball. left to throw for a perfect 300 game. On his eleventh ball he left one pin standing and on his final ball he bowled it over to finish up with a spare 10 strikes and a spare for a 289 gm. With his handicap it put him way out In front for the singles top money with a total series of 699 with handicap. His scratch was 603 including the 289 game. In the teams events the Haul-pac Haul-pac team from the Utah Construction Con-struction took the lead with a 2933 series Including handicap. They are followed by a team from the Air National Guard in Salt Lake City who rolled a better bet-ter scratch scries but fell seven pins below in the handicaps with a 2926. Salary team from Columbia Col-umbia is close behind in third with a 2924. Mel and Gary Adams have taken the lead in the doubles event with a scratch series of 1246. Thy are followed by West Secgmlller and Warren Green with a 1240; Max and Clare Randall Ran-dall with a 1204 and Art Pryor and AI Thompson in fourth with a 1195.
