Show County Water Study Presented By Women Voters The Cedar City League of Women Wo-men Voters have made a detailed detail-ed study of the water problems facing the Iron County Area and particularly Cedar City, and was invited to testify before a Select Committee of the United States Senate at Salt Lake City on Nov-I Nov-I vemer 24, 1959. . ..;. The testimony given In behalf i of this area has been published in the committee Report, and at-.bad at-.bad that Salt Lake City has got only one man that can be chief tractingf particular attention Is the article entitled The Water Resources of Iron County" which gives a detailed history of the water developments in the county coun-ty from the time the pioneers first came to the valleys, the development de-velopment of ground water supplies sup-plies and the plans for trans-mountain trans-mountain diversions Into the area. : i The Information was compiled and prepared by Mrs. Rudy Iver-son, Iver-son, Water' Resources Chairman for the League of Women Voters of Cedar City, who obtained much ; of her Information from the Ce dar City Water Board In cooperation coopera-tion with Ralph B. Piatt, Con-suiting Con-suiting Engineer of Cedar City. . This was presented at the hearing hear-ing by Mrs. Paul Porter, State Water Resources Chairman for the League of Women Voters of Utah. ; The Cedar City League Is proud of this achievement and feels certain that the information will be of great value to the Senators.
