Show FCO September Meet Will Feature Talk ByU. S.U. President Five-County Organization (FC O) will hold its September meeting meet-ing in Beaver," Friday, Sept 2, according ac-cording to Rudger C. Atkin, St. George, chairman. Featured speaker for the meeting meet-ing will be Dr. Darryl Chase, president of the Utah State University Uni-versity at Logan. Committee meetings will begin be-gin at 6 p. m. promptly, Atkin stated and the dinner meeting, which Is open to the public, will be at 7 p. m. August meeting was held at Pangultch and members of the FCO were told that the Dixie project pro-ject would double the Irrigable land In Washington County under un-der the Virgin River drainage system, by Jay R. Bingham, director di-rector of the Utah Water and Power Board. He further stated that we must look to arid and semi-arid lands as a source for future food production. |
