Show SUP Trekkers Eager For Labor Day Week End Excursion Considerable enthusiasm about the Labor Day week end trek of the Sons of Utah Pioneers indicating in-dicating that a large group of people will make the trip, is apparent ap-parent says Austin Heywood, president of the local chapter. 1 The group will leave Cedar City Ci-ty at 7 a. m. Saturday, Sept 3, with the first stop to be made at the Randall Lyman residence in Escalante. From there they will travel though Boulder, Teasdale, and Bicknell to Loa, where a stop will be made for lunch. From Loa the trek will return to Bicknell and go onto Torrey, Frulta and Hanksvllle, where the first night will be spent. Sunday the group will travel to Hite and cross the Colorado River on the Ferry, and then drive to Blanding for lunch. From Blandlng scenic spots, such as the Goose Necks, Natural bridges National Monument and Mesa Verde Natinal Park, will be visited. vis-ited. The night will be spent at Moab. Monday, visits will be made to Dead Horse Point and Arches National Na-tional Monument. A stop will be made at Green River for lunch, and then the trekkers will leave for home. People who plan to make the trip should contact Mr. Heywood, Wilson Lunt. H. P. Dotson, Hal-Chrlstensen, Hal-Chrlstensen, Clem Judd or George Croft, as soon as possible. j |
