Show Terry Bird Called To Serve In Hawaiian Mission TERRY A. BIRD Bishop Edwin C. Cox of the Cedar Ce-dar LDS Seventh Ward announced announc-ed this week that Terry A. Bird, son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Bird of Cedar City, has been called call-ed to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. Elder Bird will serve in the Ha wiian Mission fitld. A testimonial will be held honoring hon-oring Elder Bird In connection with the ward's sacrament services serv-ices Sunday evening, Aug. 28 at 6:30 p. m. In the Cedar Stake House. Friends and relatives have been extended an invitation to attend. Speakers will be Mr. Bird's father, fa-ther, Bishop Cox and Ralph Thompson plus remarks from the Missionary. A sister, Margot Lynn Bird, will furnish special musical entertainment en-tertainment with a vocal solo "May the Lord Bless and Keep You." Bird will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Monday, Mon-day, Sept. 19. Following a week of preparation there he will fly to Los Angeles, Calif., and then on to Hawaii. He Is a graduate of the Cedar City High School and attended College of Southern Utah in Cedar Ce-dar City. He was a student of art and was active In art circle." in the area. |
