Show Quarterly Conference . Visitors Announced, Sessions Scheduled With Elder Alma Sonne, assistant assist-ant to the council of the Twelve Apostles, and Elder Glen 1 Rudd of the General Welfare Committee Commit-tee of the LDS Church coming to represent the general authorities, the Parowan Stake quarterly conference will convene here Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday of this week with Stake President Howard D. Knight conducting. With the Welfare program of the Church to be stressed at this conference, the opening meeting at 6:30 p. m. Saturday will be a welfare session presided over by Elder Rudd. Stake and ward welfare committee members are expected to attend this meeting. This will be followed by a Priesthood Leadership meeting at 8 p. m. Both Saturday meetings will be held In the Parowan First-Second ward chapel. All members of the stake are: urged to attend the general ses-l sions on Sunday at 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. in the Third Ward chapel at which Elders Sonne and Rudd will be the principal speakers. Music for these sessions will be furnished by the Primary children chil-dren of the stake, a boys' chorus at one meeting and a girls' chorus chor-us at the other one. The final meeting of the con-feie.u con-feie.u will be the MIA session ses-sion to he held at 7:30 p. m., also in the Third Ward chapel. The theme of this meclng "On Pioneer Pio-neer Trails," will be stressed by program numbers from each of wards in the stake, with the general gen-eral public invited. |
