Show Howard Foulger Picked to Attend Congress Howard R. Foulger, forest supervisor sup-ervisor on the Dixie National Forest, For-est, with headquarters at Cedar City, is a recipient of a hlgh!y significant honor in his profession. profes-sion. According to Dixie National Forest Staff Officer Henry L. Ketchie, Mr. Foulger has been selected as a representative from the Intermountain Region of the Forest Service to attend the Fifth World Forestry Congress to be held at Seattle, Wash., Aug. 29 to Sept. 9. Mr. Foulger will accompany a group of 14 other Forest Service professional men selected from the Intermountain Region to attend at-tend the congress. Mr. Foulger will leave "Cedar City Aug. 26, Joining the Intermountain group at Ogden. In attendance at the Congress will be representative foresters from all parts of the world. Some 2000 professional foresters will be In attendance. Foresters from some 60 different national forests in the United States will be In attendance. All phases of forest management will be discussed during the international meeting. Considerable thought was given giv-en to the selection of the Forest Service nominees from the Intermountain Inter-mountain Region. It Includes a cross section of division chiefs, forest supervisors, staff officers, and district rangers. Ten of our national forests are represented and there Is at least one representative repre-sentative from each of the four states in our region. |
