Show Parowan Elementary Views Student -Distribution Program Parowan Elementary School opens Its door to boys and girls of the community on Monday, Aug. 29. They will be met by a full staff of teachers, a clean building, new supplies and a host of new challenges for I960-61 I960-61 states Principal Don Apple-gate. Apple-gate. Mr. Applegate states that advance ad-vance registration data shows a slight decrease over last year's enrollment, most of which is accounted ac-counted for in the kindergarten group. Teachers have been assigned as follows: Fae Benson, two sections of kindergarten with 44 students. Zona Topham, Louise Morten-sen Morten-sen and Vivian Mitchell, 86 students stu-dents In the primary grades. Mama Heap, Miriam Lister and Kenneth Jolley, 82 students In the Intermediate grades. Darryl Schramm. Chester Benson Ben-son and Dale LeFevre, 82 students stu-dents in the upper grades. This brings the total tentative enrollment enroll-ment in the school to 294 students. stu-dents. This enrollment of students stu-dents is based on the census of May 27, 1960 and Js subject to I the summer changes. On the first day, Aug. 29, will be registration and a regular day of school from 9 through 11:45 and 12:43 to 3:30 p. m. for the third through sixth grades. First grade from 9 a. m. to 11:45 and 12:45 to 2:30 p. m. Second grade from 9 through 11:45 and 12:45 through 3 p. m. Kindergarten students and parents par-ents come In small groups for a 30 minute orientation period with Mrs. Benson the first day. After that they attend from 9 through 11:30 for the morning section, and 12:45 through 3:15 p. m. for the afternoon session. Principal Applegate and the teachers extend an Invitation to parents and patrons to visit the school more often this year. |
