Show Helen Jean Dalton Weds Alan Stubbs In Salt Lake Temple Miss Helen Jean Dalton, daughter of Mr: and Mrs. Jack Dalton of Paragonah, and Alan Stubbs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stubbs of Parowan, were united in marriage on Friday, Aug. 19. The couple spoke wedding vows In a double ring ceremony In the Salt Lake Temple with Heber J. Burgan officiating. Parents of both young people and three grandmothers were present. They were Mrs. Lula Bastlan, Mrs. Margaret Stubbs and Mrs. Hazel Pendleton. Mrs. Flcrene Adams also accompanied accompan-ied the group to Salt Lake City. Following the ceremony, parents par-ents of the bridegroom entertained entertain-ed at a wedding breakfast at Harmon's cafe. Saturday evening the newly-weds newly-weds were feted at a reception In the Paragonah school house. The bride was lovely in her wedding wed-ding gown of lace and nylon ! : ; ('.. . ' -V.. . I:'-' .'. MR. AND MRS. ALAN STUBBS tulle over taffeta. The fitted bodice bod-ice featured long sleeves and a scalloped neckline with Jeweled trim. The bouffant floor length skirt had lace oversktrt and lace appliques. Her fingertip veil of tulle fell from a Jeweled tiara and she carried a bridal bouquet of white roses. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Annette Inglesby. as matron of honor and the following as bridesmaids: Carol Jo Shideler, Geraldine and Annette Stubbs, Laura Burton, Karen Bentley, Tess Thornton, Jerrolyn Gurr and Barbara Ann Graff. Mrs. Inglesby Ingles-by wore blue and the bridesmaids brides-maids had alike dresses of green. All carried white mums arranged arrang-ed with net and green ribbons. Dean Robinson was best man and Shirrel Lister and Reed Thornton were ushers. Warren Pendleton was master of ceremonies for the program which included readings by Mrs. Pauline Topham and Mrs. Alice Robinson, Instrumental music by Richard Van Ausdal and Johnny Rogerson, vocal solos by L. N. Asay and a vocal duet by Helen and Sharon Whitney. Following the program refreshments refresh-ments were served and dancing was enjoyed. In charge of the glft3 were Mrs. Marsha Robinson, Mrs. Julie Lister Lis-ter and Mrs. Florene Adams, assisted as-sisted by Wayne Stubbs and several sev-eral of his young cousins. Miss Sonya Adams was at the guest register. The misses Linda Rae Dalton, Ruth Ann Dalton, Marie Mortensen and Linda Mortensen did the serving. They were assisted assist-ed In the kitchen by Mr. and Mrs. Vern Mortensen, Mr. and Mrs. David Dalton and Mr. and Mrs. James Stones. The newlyweds are both graduates grad-uates of the Parowan High School and Seminary and have attended attend-ed school at College of Southern Utah. The bride has also been a student at B Y U. Mr. Stubbs Is currently employed by the Forest For-est Service and fol'owlng a short honeymoon trip the couple will be at home In Cedai City where both will attend college the coming com-ing year. |
