Internal Revenue To Conduct Tax Survey in Cedar City Roland V. Wise, District Director Direc-tor of Internal Revenue, announced announc-ed that a tax compliance survey will be conducted in Cedar City during the next few months. This survey is part of a national effort ef-fort to determine the extent of taxpayer compliance with Intern al Revenue Laws. Mr. Wise stated that 97 per cent of all taxpayers comply with the American system of voluntary volun-tary self assessment of tax liabilities. liabil-ities. One phase of this survey is to Insure the 97'f of businessmen business-men who voluntarily file correct returns that their competitors are not getting an unfair competitive advantage by failure to pay their fair share of the national tax bill. The present survey will be confined to persons engaged in business and self-employed professional pro-fessional and semi-professional people. Internal Revenue representatives representa-tives will be contacting Cedar City Ci-ty citizens and requesting information inform-ation relative to all types of Federal Fed-eral tax returns filed by those individuals. in-dividuals.
